Every student at Uppingham Community College can expect to receive a wide range of careers advice and guidance during their time studying with us. Information and advice is provided for GCSE options and post-16 destinations, as well as a variety of events intended to open up many different future career pathways. The Personal Development Education curriculum has a dedicated strand covering Careers and Financial Capability so you will study one topic from this for 6 weeks every year. You will also have access to an experienced Careers Adviser for 1:1 guidance during your time in school and a personalised START profile which will help to match your skills and interests to a large database of employment areas and specific jobs. You will also complete a two week work experience placement during the summer term of year 10.

On the Resources page you will also see various websites and resources you can use to help you further your research into career and post-16 options.

If you require further information please speak to Mrs Duffy in school.
