Parents and carers should be aware that welfare visits are completed as a standard procedure when children are absent from school. Pastoral staff may conduct a home visit when:

• A student is absent from school without a valid reason

• The school hasn’t received a reply from a follow-up call.

• The school has received a reply that they are concerned about

• The school has concern that the student has not been seen since the return of a holiday period or by another professional.

• The student is in receipt of Medical Needs Tuition
