GCSE Results 2021

Superb results for GCSE students at Uppingham Community College

Uppingham Community College students and staff are celebrating superb GCSE qualifications this summer. This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

“We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. Our students faced challenges like never before, but remained resilient and determined to achieve their very best. This summer we celebrate our student’s incredible perseverance, resoluteness, and continued dedication to study throughout their GCSEs. The results they have achieved today are incredible, particularly when you consider the obstacles they have faced.

Our students have worked incredibly hard and they fully deserve these excellent outcomes. I am very proud of the superb efforts of the talented UCC staff and I want to wish our students the very best of luck for their next steps; it is a really exciting time for them. There are some truly exceptional results (see below) and stretching our highly academic students is always a focus for us. It is pleasing to see the impact of this work, and these top performing students quite rightly deserve all the plaudits that will come their way. However, I am most proud of the students who overcame significant adversity throughout the past year and have still achieved really great results, demonstrating determination and so much courage." - Ben Solly, UCC Principal
