Feedback for Learning
Over the last 3 years we have been actively engaged as a College in developing the ways we give feedback to our students. The educational research is clear – the feedback given to students is the most powerful tool we have to improve learning.
This work has led to us revising our policy for marking and feedback for this academic year going forward. Now, having completed our first half term, I wanted to take this opportunity to share our approach with you.
UCC staff have been fully involved in the development of this and we will continue to share good practice and evaluate what we do as the year progresses. We have also spoken to all our students, from Year 7 through to 11, about what they should and should not expect, in terms of feedback.
