Train to Teach at UCC

School Direct / PGCE Teacher Training at UCC

Would you like to train to become a teacher at UCC, via the School Direct programme? Teaching is one of the most rewarding professions and by training to become a teacher you are embarking on a fantastic journey to help transform the lives of young people.

UCC is part of the Rutland Teaching Alliance with Catmose College and a number of Primary Schools, and as such offers Initial Teacher Training in conjunction with Nottingham Trent University. You will spend the majority of your time training in the classroom, mentored by skilled practitioners and experiencing life within highly effective schools. You will spend one day a week at Nottingham Trent University where we have an established successful partnership.

For the academic year 2018-19 we are currently offering (non-salaried) places in the following subjects:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Design Technology
  • Science
  • Humanities
  • MFL
  • Drama
