Bletchley Park Trip

On Tuesday 5 June Year 10 GCSE students and members of the Cypher club visited Bletchley Park for a tour and practical sessions at the National Museum of Computing.

Our guides for the day were exceptional and brought the subject of vintage computing, codebreaking and the associated war time effort to life.

Looking at older devices and comparing them to their modern equivalents was fascinating and we were lucky to see some of the most important machines in the history of computer science in action.

Students also had a go at creating their own artificial intelligence software and spent time programming games on computers from the 1980s!
