Dear Parents and Carers,

Another action packed week has seen a huge range of wonderful activities occurring across the school. On Thursday a group of Year 8 and 9 students performed an abridged version of The Tempest at The Cube Theatre in Corby. They stole the show with a magnificent performance and represented UCC incredibly well. Mrs Perkins has done a superb job in ensuring our students delivered a highly professional performance and I am very much looking forward to the show they will be putting on at UCC in January. We have also had a trip to the Mosque for Year 10 that was very successful this week, another primary school football tournament (which our student leaders have received high praise for) and a girls rugby tournament yesterday in which our students played brilliantly.

On Friday last week we organised a number of fund raising activities and we are still pulling together the final totals raised for both Children In Need and the new electric wheelchair for Hope in Year 8 I will update you all in the bulletin next week with the amount raised, but in the meantime I must thank everyone for their generous donations to both causes and to our students who were amazing throughout the day.

Next week we are focussing on attendance closely with all of our students. At UCC our overall attendance is consistently above the national average but we are always striving to increase it. We will be exploring the importance of both attendance and punctuality with our students throughout next week.

With just over 3 weeks left in the autumn term I would like to thank parents for your continued support of everything we are trying to achieve at UCC and I am looking forward to meeting many of you on Thursday 30th November for Year 10 parents’ evening.

I hope you all have a great weekend.
