Snow closure message from Mr Solly

Uppingham Community College is closed today (Wednesday 28th February) due to the adverse weather conditions making the school site unsafe. Our Site Team are working diligently today to make the school safe for students and staff tomorrow.

When we had to close the school for similar reasons in December, I asked students to make good use of the time they had during the day. My message today is no different; I expect students to complete some work and in particular, Year 11 students should prioritise their exam preparation.

- Spend some time having fun in the snow, but stay safe!

- Year 11 should do some revision/preparation for their GCSE summer exams.

- Read a book.

- Do some homework.

- Do something kind and thoughtful for a member of your family or one of your friends!

We will provide an update on the condition of the school site later today so please keep checking our website and social media accounts.

Yours faithfully,

Mr B Solly
