Principal's Weekly Bulletin

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a superb week at UCC with so many different activities going on both in and out of the classroom.

Our Year 11 history students enjoyed a trip to Framlingham Castle in Suffolk - you can view some pictures by clicking here.

We took some Year 7 performing arts students to the Wilds Lodge Festival in Empingham, where there were several really impressive performances. You can view some images by following this link and watch a brilliant video clip of one of our students performing by clicking here.

We have been busy planning our Open Evening for prospective families looking to join our school in September 2018. The Open Evening is Thursday 28th September and I have been very impressed with the number of student volunteers who are acting as UCC advocates and tour guides.  Further details can be found on our website at this link. If you know families with children in Year 6 who might be interested in attending, please share this information with them.

This week I launched the UCC Vision Wheel with staff, following a period of 3 weeks where I have been working with colleagues to establish what it means to be part of the UCC community, what we are all aiming for and how we are going to get there. This captures our vision, values and strategies in one concise diagram which we will use as a basis for making UCC a truly great school. I feel it is important our community and stakeholders understand what we are working towards and how we plan to get there; you can access the UCC Vision Wheel by clicking here

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
