Weekly Maths Challenge 1


The jar contains some peanuts. Four people estimated how many peanuts were in the jar.

Their estimates were 142, 133, 144 and 162.

One of the estimates was sixteen out, one was thirteen out, one

was four out and the other estimate was two out.

How many peanuts were in the jar?
