Weekly Bulletin - 14/07/2023

Please see the last bulletin/newsletter of this academic year below...

Dear UCC Families

Throughout this week it has been a joy to observe students having fun and enjoying themselves during our ACE and Activity days. It is a lovely way to end the academic year and reward students for their hard work.

I attended the Rutland Sports awards on Monday with the UCC PE department, and it was wonderful to see so many of our students rewarded for their commitment to sport and PE. There is more about these superb achievements in the Newsletter.

I would like to thank our UCC Families for your continued support of our school and for working positively with us to ensure your child/ren have the right conditions for them to thrive. This triangular relationship between home, school and the child is so critical, and we are very grateful to you all for helping us strengthen this link.

There is a lot going on over the summer as we continue to improve our school facilities for students. The 2 mobile blocks will be demolished, as part of the project which enabled us to build our new Margaret Jennings Building for MFL and Business Studies. We are also upgrading our toilet facilities in the science area of the school and we are completing the Fire Safety project which has resulted in all of the internal doors across school being replaced.

I hope all UCC students have a great summer and enjoy having some time off. Please can you ensure your child has all of the correct equipment and uniform ready for a positive start to the term, when we return on Thursday 31st August. The uniform section of our website is here, if you need to check anything: Uniform - Uppingham Community College (uppinghamcollege.org.uk)

Please take the time to read through the rest of our final Newsletter of 22-23.

Have a great summer
Mr Solly
