Iron Age / archaeology talk with Meredith Lange

Last Thursday our Cookie Club was treated to a presentation by Meredith Lange who is a forensic archaeologist. She is researching who made the pottery during the Iron Age by measuring the imprints of finger prints on pottery from that time period and comparing it with the prints of modern day people.

UCC students were happy to help with this research and in return had a fascinating presentation on the role of forensic archaeology from ancient sites to modern crime scenes. Meredith noted the interest of our students and how well informed they were.

We hope to be able to invite her back to discuss her findings in due course.
